SAP BTP integration and extension services

Keep the SAP core clean and still get the processes, apps and integrations your business needs. We connect SAP to the rest of your stack through supported APIs and SAP Integration Suite, build extensions on SAP BTP that survive upgrades, and let AI coding agents write the mappings, tests and documentation that usually slow integration work down.

Key highlights

  • We build integrations on SAP Integration Suite and extensions on SAP BTP using CAP or ABAP Cloud, keeping the S/4HANA core clean.
  • SAP connects to Salesforce, Shopify, e-commerce platforms, WMS, banks, EDI partners and your own apps through OData, REST, IDoc and BAPI interfaces.
  • SAP Process Orchestration 7.5 mainstream maintenance ends at the end of 2027, so we migrate PI and PO interfaces to Integration Suite.
  • AI agents draft mappings, CAP services, Fiori screens and test cases from your interface specifications; engineers review every change.
  • Every interface ships with monitoring, retry handling, alerting and written documentation.

Integration and extension problems we fix

SAP rarely runs alone. Most of the pain sits at the edges, where it meets the CRM, the web shop, the warehouse and the apps your teams built themselves.

Point to point spaghetti. Every system talks to SAP its own way: flat files on an FTP server, custom RFCs, a nightly script on someone's server. Nobody has the full picture of what depends on what.
Middleware nearing its end. Interfaces built on SAP PI or PO face the end of mainstream maintenance in 2027, and a one to one copy into a new tool would carry every old workaround forward.
Modifications that block upgrades. Custom logic written directly into the core makes every upgrade a project. Clean core extensibility exists to stop that, but only if new work follows it.
Orders and stock that never agree. The web shop sells stock SAP does not have, Salesforce shows prices SAP does not use, and the warehouse ships before SAP knows the order exists.
Silent failures. An IDoc fails, a message sits in error and nobody is told. The first alert is a customer asking where their delivery is.
SAP data out of reach for AI. Teams want assistants and agents that can answer questions on orders, stock and invoices, but nobody wants an AI tool with open access to the ERP.
Scope

What we build on SAP BTP

Supported interfaces, upgrade safe extensions and monitoring as standard.

SAP Integration Suite

Integration flows in Cloud Integration, APIs published and secured in API Management, and event driven integration with SAP event mesh services and S/4HANA business events. Migration of PI and PO interfaces, redesigned rather than copied.

APIs, IDoc and BAPI interfaces

OData and REST APIs from the SAP Business Accelerator Hub, SOAP services, IDocs, BAPIs and RFCs, chosen per use case with error handling, retries and idempotency built in.

Side by side extensions

Applications on SAP BTP built with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model in Node.js or Java, or with ABAP Cloud and RAP, so custom logic lives outside the core and upgrades stay simple.

SAP Fiori apps

Fiori elements and SAPUI5 apps for approvals, shop floor, warehouse and field tasks, designed to SAP Fiori guidelines and deployed to the launchpad your users already have.

SAP to Salesforce, Shopify and WMS

Customer, price, order, stock and invoice flows between SAP and Salesforce, Shopify, other e-commerce platforms, warehouse management systems, carriers, banks and EDI partners.

AI agents on SAP data

Assistants and agents that read orders, stock and invoices through SAP APIs with the user's own authorisations, read only by default, with every action logged. We also integrate with Joule, SAP's AI copilot, where you license it.

How we deliver

From interface inventory to monitored integrations

  1. 01
    Map the landscape

Inventory of every interface, its owner, volume, protocol and failure history. Output: a target integration architecture and a prioritised backlog.

  2. 02
    Design and specify

Interface specifications, data mappings and extension designs agreed with business and IT owners, with the clean core option chosen for each gap.

  3. 03
    Build and test

AI assisted development of flows, CAP services and Fiori apps, with automated tests against SAP and partner sandboxes for every interface.

  4. 04
    Go live and monitor

Phased cutover per interface, alerts and dashboards for message failures, and runbooks handed to your team or our AMS team.

Security and governance for SAP integrations

Integrations carry customer, financial and pricing data across system boundaries. Security is designed per interface.

OAuth 2.0 and certificate based auth Principal propagation where supported Least privilege technical users Encrypted transport Clean core GDPR and UK GDPR PCI DSS scope awareness for commerce

Technical users get only what they need. Each interface uses its own technical user or OAuth client with the minimum SAP authorisations required, so a compromised partner system cannot reach the rest of the ERP.

AI agents act as the user, not as an admin. Agents call SAP through APIs with the requesting user's authorisations or a narrowly scoped technical user, are read only unless a write action is explicitly approved, and log every call.

Card data stays out of SAP. For e-commerce integrations, payment card data stays with the payment provider and only tokens and references pass to SAP, keeping your PCI DSS scope as small as possible.

FAQ

Common questions

Use SAP Integration Suite when most flows touch SAP and you want SAP's prebuilt content and roadmap; use your existing platform, such as MuleSoft or Azure Integration Services, when it is already your enterprise standard. We work with either and recommend based on your landscape, not on a partnership.
It depends on the number of interfaces, protocols, volumes and how well the partner system's API is documented, so we estimate per interface. You get a written scope, timeline and estimate within 48 hours of a discovery call. Engagement models are on the pricing page.
Typically 3 to 8 weeks for a single well documented integration such as SAP to Shopify or Salesforce, including testing and monitoring. A PI or PO migration of many interfaces is planned in waves over several months.
You do. SAP BTP services, Integration Suite and any Joule entitlements are licensed directly from SAP. RG INSYS is not an SAP partner or reseller and charges only for design and build work.
The team is in India with at least 4 hours of overlap with your working day, which covers joint testing with your partners and go live windows.
AI agents draft mappings, CAP code, Fiori screens and tests from specifications in development tenants only, and a senior engineer reviews every change. Agents do not hold production credentials and your business data is not sent to external AI services.
